The first in a series of original recordings from luthier, guitarist and composer Victor Baker

Finding a fine balance between two creative loves, building and playing…

Well known for the highly regarded jazz guitars that are in the hands of players worldwide, luthier Victor Baker is also an accomplished guitarist, very prolific modern jazz composer and active performer. A self described life long jazz guitar nut, when he isn’t building an instrument he is writing, preparing and playing his original music with his group. Years ago Victor decided to forego a full time gigging and teaching career and pursue his world class archtop guitar making, but never stopped his daily playing practice. He is always striving to strike a balance between his life’s work of building, playing, writing and performing. He has well over 100 compositions, some decades old. The hope is to finally document a majority of them. This is Volume 1!

This music is presented free of charge, but if you care to donate a tip I would be very grateful.

Special thanks to:

Julien and Harley- true musical brothers, you both have my deepest gratitude for taking such an interest in my music, for your immense talents, for always bringing your best and for always making this all a fun and easy hang.

Eric and Ed- I had such a blast to play with you guys and hear you on these tunes!! You guys seem to always add just the right touches. Can’t wait for more… But Eric, why the hell did you go and move to LA?!? LOL

Mark- Always a pleasure to play with you and witness your expertise. So cool that you can basically sight read all this stuff down and sound stronger on it than the guy who frig’n wrote it haha! You’re the real deal!

And a very special thanks to YOU, for taking interest in what I do and for giving this music a listen. I hope you enjoy the vibes we have created.
